Why give?

  • Homelessness in Alaska is a significant issue, with major cities struggling to provide shelter for the homeless population

  • According to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's annual count of homeless individuals, Alaska had 2,614 people experiencing homelessness in January of 2023. That amounts to one-third of one percent of all Alaskans.

  • One in nine Alaskans struggles with hunger, a number that rises in rural and Alaska Native communities where supply chains are even longer and can be interrupted by extreme weather, wildfires, or pandemics.

  • 60% of homeless women have children under 18, but only 65% of them live with at least one of their children.

  • We allow people who have a current AK Drivers License and car insurance to assist with deliveries, as well as the proper knowledge for food handling and customer etiquette.

  • Ofcourse! We are stationary underneath a tent so no driving or transporting is necessary. During winter months it may be a bit cold.
